Jobloggr (“Jobloggr,” “we,” “us”) helps job seekers track their job search in one place. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep this short on purpose — we do not want to collect more data than we need to run the service.

What we collect

  • Account information. When you sign in with Google or LinkedIn, we receive your name, email address, and profile avatar URL from the provider. We do not receive your password.
  • Job tracking data you enter. Companies, roles, URLs, stages, contacts, notes, dates, and CSV exports you generate. This is the content you create inside Jobloggr.
  • Technical data. Anonymous, cookieless page-view counts and performance metrics via Vercel Web Analytics. We do not set tracking cookies on marketing pages and we do not run a third-party analytics SDK inside the authenticated app.
  • Chrome extension data. When you use the Jobloggr browser extension to capture a job listing, the extension reads the current tab’s URL and a small set of DOM fields (job title, company, salary if shown) and sends them to your Jobloggr account. It does not read anything else, and it never ships browsing history back to our servers.

What we do not collect

  • We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers.
  • We do not use third-party advertising or retargeting pixels.
  • We do not read your email, calendar, or any Google/LinkedIn content beyond the minimum OAuth profile scopes.
  • We do not scrape job boards on your behalf or access any site without your explicit interaction.

How we use your information

  • To provide the service. Store and display your job tracking data so you can access it from any browser you sign in on.
  • To keep the service working. Diagnose errors, measure performance, and debug user-reported issues.
  • To communicate with you. Respond to support requests you initiate. We do not send marketing emails.

Where your data lives

Your data is stored in Supabase (our managed Postgres and authentication provider) and the application itself is hosted on Vercel. Both are major US-based infrastructure providers with their own privacy and security commitments. We access your data only as needed to operate the service or respond to a support request from you.

Data retention and deletion

We retain your account data for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the account settings page. Deletion is immediate and permanent — we do not keep a hidden backup of deleted accounts. Short-lived database backups (used for disaster recovery) may contain your data for up to 30 days after deletion, after which they roll off.

Your rights

Regardless of where you live, you can:

  • Access all of your tracked jobs and contacts from the app.
  • Export your data at any time via the CSV export feature.
  • Correct any field by editing the record directly.
  • Delete individual records or your entire account on demand.

If you are in the EU/EEA, UK, or California and need additional assistance exercising GDPR or CCPA rights, email us at privacy@jobloggr.com.

Children

Jobloggr is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use standard industry practices: TLS in transit, encryption at rest via Supabase, row-level security so one user cannot see another user’s data, and OAuth (not password storage) for authentication. No system is perfectly secure — please use a strong, unique password for your Google or LinkedIn account, and enable two-factor authentication there.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy we will update the “Last updated” date above and, if the change is significant, notify you by email or an in-app banner before it takes effect.
